Hello, and thank you for visiting my website.

 

I am a director/editor/writer with 30 years experience in the film industry……

 

ONCE

For 25 of those years I ran Naisbitt and Co., one of Soho’s most successful editing companies. Whilst editing was the core of the business, we also produced, directed and scripted numerous commercials, promotional films and shorts along the way.

In 2011 we decided to call it a day so that I could concentrate my efforts on directing and writing.

 

NOW

I am now working as a freelance director, available to undertake any project by employing an established production company or simply as a ‘gun for hire’.

As you can see from the commercials, the subject matter is pretty eclectic: a car, a dog, a desert, a child, two Spaniards or an exploding sousaphone player. I would really like to specialise in humour and with that in mind I hope you enjoy ‘The Lift’ and ‘..a whispered name’, two of the short films I both wrote and directed.

 

ALSO

My major project at the moment is finding finance for a feature film, ‘Ferret’, a completed original script, which is starting to gain a lot of interest around town. The ‘Teaser’ and ‘Café Scene’ are pieces I have filmed to give potential investors an idea of the movie’s potential.

 

MEANWHILE

When I am not writing (or watching cricket/strumming the guitar) I keep my hand in editing for some of my commercials clients as well as any friendly new ones.
